The Cat's offense looked pretty good on Saturday. I was really pleased with the offensive line's protection of Woodson. He seemed to always have the ample time to make the proper pass. I called this game as belonging to Burton. Special teams looked as consistent as ever.
My problem, once again, is the defense. More in particular, the defensive secondary was lacking. We gave up 411 yards of passing. Why? I am pretty sure we have one of the worst DB's in the conference. Not mentioning any names, but it rhymes with "Looker". This individual was burnt by CMU's receivers the entire game.
Once we had a decent lead in the first half, the Mike Archer prevent-D let the Chipps come back in to the game. There was no pressure on the QB. There was more of the same 4 down linemen rushing. Do the coaches just like to play for the lead and then try to hold on?
