Did you ever think this would happen? Only one day ago UK took a huge step to becoming bowl elgible. In fact, they could even get to 7-5 this year with a win over Vandy and Louisiana-Monroe. What would happen if the Cats went 8-4 with a huge last game win over Tennessee? Would Kentucky fans tear down the school?

There are a few scenarios that I can take from this season...

1. Rich Brooks comes back to continue the rebuilding of Kentucky's football program. He has built the foundation, it's time for him to build the rest of the house.

2. Rich Brooks hands over the reigns to another coach and retires.

3. Rich Brooks hands over the reigns to another coach and becomes the AD of Oregon (brought up in our UK Football Pregame show).

Whichever way you slice it, Rich Brooks is not going anywhere for a while nor do I blame UK for keeping him.

The question I have to ask though, is does this take any of the spotlight away from the basketball team? In Kentucky, basketball is king. However, with the way Louisville and Kentucky are playing, will the focus remain on football for longer than usual?
