What are the chances that Brooks leaves for the AD job at Oregon? I hope I'm not tin the minority, but I hope he stays at least two more years until I think Joker will be ready to take over.
I know Brooks is getting old, but he has done a great job in a much shorter time than everybody thought to get UK back in a Bowl game.
I hope everybody will follow the Cats to whatever bowl they go to and show the team and Brooks that we appreciate the great season. Remember we are still Kentucky and it is going to take awhile to raise our standards to the Floridas and USC's of the world, so this was a great season for UK standards.
Hey guys, update the calendar it is two months behind. How can your loyal fans come and stare at you while you talk if they don't know where you are at that day.
By the way nice layout on the Web Page.
Dear Criss Cross
I am writing to tell you about the absolutely absurd officiating that took place Saturday between the University of Kentucky and the University of North Carolina. The calls extremely favored North Carolina. The officials allowed themselves to become intimidated by the environment in the Dean Dome. These officials significantly hampered the ability of the Kentucky players to play their best.
When Bobby Perry is on the floor after a loose ball and a North Carolina player jumps on top of him and the call is a jump ball and the ball goes to North Carolina, it’s just not right. You know that there is something wrong with the officiating when Billy
P-acc-ker (Packer) questions calls against Kentucky or no calls against North Carolina. The same “fouls” called against Kentucky were not called against North Carolina.
This game was a disgrace to the officiating crews and for the NCAA who will probably do nothing in the wake of this game. It was obvious that these referee’s were not capable to referee such a high profile game. When a game is over the best thing an official can hope for is that nothing good or bad is said about their job, this means they did a good job at being unbiased in the game. At the end of this game there was controversy over calls that they made. Simply put these referee’s did not do a good job at all.
John, I think people have been sending in responses, but you have to approve the responses in order for them to show up on the post. When I send a response a screen pops up and tells me it must be approved first before showing. You might want to check into this.
Good Luck.
As far as the rant goes, I am happy for the SEC (not for Flordia) for getting a title shot. But, how can Michigan not be in this game (and I am not even a Michigan fan). They got beat at OSU by three points. The number two team loses to number one team at their house by only three?
Florida was beaten by Auburn, a 7th ranked team (I think) at the time, which we discovered down the stetch that Auburn wasn't that good. Florida beats Arkansas for the SEC title. The same Arkansas team that was stomped by USC, who was terribly O-VER-RA-TED, and handled by LSU.
Strength of schedule is one thing, but why is everyone blind to the concept that it is possible for the best two teams in the nation coming from the same conference?
Go...Gators???
