We forgot and Tirey's Tirade!

Well, how stupid we've been. After the New Year, and all of the brain cells we've killed, no one alerted us that we, apparently NOW have to pre-approve the posts you send us. (Except for that one guy who kept leaving comments on the blog that would not show up, saying that we have to 'approve' posts before they show up... UH, DUH! HOW WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF WE DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE SUPPOSED TO APPROVE THE POSTS BEFORE THEY SHOWED UP!
(Venting... capacitor... melting... down...)

SPEAKING of Venting! Have you heard "Tirey's Tirade", yet? I asked our resident UK Pre and Post Game triumverate to let me publish the rants that Jim Tirey does after UK Games on SportsRadio 1300 on our website.
The first deals with the UK vs. Auburn game from Wed 1/10. It's posted on the website at http://www.wlxg.com. We'll update it as we get new ones but, if you haven't heard anyone dogging a team after beating thier opponent by 27!!!!!! You need to click there.

Hope everyone had a great Holiday, especially the guys who are waiting for thier posts to be approved so we can post them. (I'm still confused!)

Go CATS!

Glad to see you guys back. It was a little lonely there for a while. I thought you guys had booted me off the site for something radical I said about Michigan and the BCS.

I had the misfortune of listening to the Tirey Tirade live as I was leaving downtown after the game Wednesday night. What the hell? Is he the the best you can get on your post-game show? Jim should have held his composure and relayed his sentiments a little more effectively. He really lost credibility by yelling and spitting into the mic.

I think the more effective way of dogging your team after a blow out win is to bring up the turnovers and poor perimeter defense the day after. Maybe, sleep on it before you make yourself sound insane. Did Tirey think Tubb wasn't aware of these things? I hope he isn't on your payroll.

Good to see Perry Jr. get his first points as a Wildcat!

Haha, Perry's points didn't count. I'm a little sad, I was hoping he would get them.

Bottom line is though, love or hate how he conveys it, Tirey has a point. UK cannot afford to have 19 turnovers against teams like Georgia, Tennessee, and dare I say it... Vandy.

A win is a win is a win, and on paper, nobody can deny the 27 point victory.

Good news is that they seem to be improving game by game. They'll need to bring their "A" game when they go through their tough 8 game stretch starting in the end of January.

Glad to see you back on the blog!

Didn't count? I thought they were saying they didn't count as a three pointer. Oh well, maybe this Saturday he will make it in the record books.

I agreed with what you and Ryan were saying about when you build a substantial lead, you can afford to be a little lax in the delivery of your win. I think the entire team as well as the fans there at the game could tell it was in hand.

It looked to me like they were opening up the offense to try a few new things, especially with Bradley doing the majority of the work at the shooting point guard position(???). No better time to try them.

But, yes, there were a lot of turnovers. And like Tirey said, what if Lofton was on that team with all those open 3 opportunities?

It's good to be back.
