Boston Gets "Pittsnogled"
Just when I was starting to worry, I'm relieved to know that our favorite new verb of the last year's college basketball season season will still be alive in the NBA. Kevin Pittsnogle, a tattoo-clad former F/C for the West Virginia Mountaineers is headed to Boston. My only question is, WHY WASN'T HE DRAFTED?!?!?! AND WHY DIDN'T ANYONE ELSE MAKE A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT?!?!?!?! Remember, this was a player who had a multi-page feature about him in Sports Illustrated. He is the all-time 3 point leader at West Virginia with 253! ESPN Sportscenter anchors couldn't get enough of his name and it therefore became a staple of last year's college basketball season! Boston quickly realized that Pittsnogled was forgotten about almost like Macaulay Culkin in "Home Alone." It's like all of a sudden the NBA realized, "We left Kevin at home!" (It's ironic that Culkin's character in "Home Alone" was also named Kevin). This was a great pickup for Boston due to the fact that Pittsnogle is a 6-11 F/C who can shoot the 3 and knows how to use his body to get rebounds. Pittsnogle will join former Kentucky Wildcat Rajon Rondo and Sebastian Telfair as new additions to the Boston lineup. I'm still befuddled as to why this guy slipped through the draft. Did I miss something? Whatever, I'm looking forward to seeing Boston "Pittsnogle" the competition.

Just like Mike Cameron "Pittsnoggled" the field at River Downs this weekend with Startling? Congrats Mike!
What is the difference between Andrea Bargnani and KP? Nothing, but a #1 draft pick. Both are tall and lanky cats that can shoot from the perimeter and both rebound disappointingly. Only one has the catch phrase of the 2005 NCAA Tourney associated with his name and will draw more fans. Sad, heh?
Well if you think Startling was good, Mike's other horse Sultry Mood will be Pittsnogling the competition this Friday (7/28) at River Downs. I forget what race number it is but I know the post time is 5:05 pm. I'm sure we'll talk all about it on the Sports Huddle tomorrow.
