ANDRE WOODSON GETS THE NOD

I am just returning to the station after attending Coach Brooks' Monday press conference at Commonwealth Stadium where he officially said that Andre Woodson would be the man behind center for the Cats.

To listen to all of Coach Brooks' press conference, make sure you tune into the Sports Huddle tonight at 6:30.

I'll have more on this later...

Now, that is commitment. Why waste two years on Woodson not to start him now. Best of luck to him!!!

As much as I would like to see what Pulley can do with his feet, I have to agree with you on this one j-delicious. Constantly changing the QBs has been a downfall for the Cats. It's nice to know that they are going to stick with one for a couple of years. Now, the biggest controversy will be next year when this controversy comes up again.

Don't get me wrong though, I feel like this QB battle is far from over. My concern is that Woodson would feel the pressure of constantly having to perform or else Pulley would come in. That is no way to have a QB play. If he's playing not to mess up, so that he'll keep his job, there's no way that he'll keep it... and there's no way the Cats will win.

They have to be able to go out there and play with the thought like there's no tomorrow. They have to be able to throw caution to the wind. I'm not sure if Woodson is able to do that right now.

I still don't think that Louisville will end up playing for a national title even if they go undefeated. I think the BCS will hinder them and give the nod to those teams like Texas, USC, and Auburn. If everyone's undefeated, there's no way the Cards will get it over those other teams.

I also enjoyed the "sound off" segment that the callers enjoyed last week. I think it should happen more often.

Keep your comments coming...

Pulley is one of the greatest athletes on the field (as was Boyd). They have to use him even if it's not as QB. I'm still worried that each QB will feel like they're on thin ice either way. Any slip and they're out...

Don't worry guys. We got the great Randy Sanders for QB coach. UT's sloppy seconds. He'll have UK's QBs lined out.
